Jackson turns six!

Jackson turned six this November.  We celebrated by taking two of his friends, Jaymes and Kolas to Sky Zone.  The kids had a blast!  I had never been before, and I have to admit I'll have to pay for myself to jump there one day, because there was a lot of fun things to do.  The actual day of his birthday, we had a family night at my school so I couldn't celebrate with him.  Brian took the boys over to my parents and they all had cake and celebrated.  His big present was getting superhero pictures from Hobby Lobby to decorate his room.

Right now Jackson is still very tall, we haven't been to his 6 year old check up, but the past few years he has been 95-99% for his height percentile.  He is already wearing a size 13 or 1 shoe.  His favorite things include building legos, playing video games, drawing, making things out of paper, and writing.  He loves to practice writing words.  He loves his K5 class and has done well so far.  He has started reading and learning his K5 sight words, and seems be pretty advanced in his math abilities.  He isn't super sporty, but he is enjoying trying out different sports. He says t-ball and basketball are his favorites so far.  He can be quiet and shy, but is definitely coming out of his shell more at school and church.  His teacher says he keeps them laughing.  We love you Jackson!  I can't wait to see all of things you'll do this next year.

He loves to get my phone and take silly selfies

Thanksgiving and Christmas 2015

The holiday season has flown by so quickly.  I didn't remember to take any pictures on Thanksgiving, but we had a quiet day with my parents.  Brian made a turkey for the first time, and it was delicious.  Mama said he would be our full time turkey maker in the future.  We had a great Christmas filled with lots of family time and parties.  We didn't make it to the Huffman party this year since Mama was still down with her knee.  We visited Maryland for the week and spent Christmas with Brian's family.  The boys enjoyed lots of fun time with their cousins.  I got to love on the newest cousin, Haden.  He is such a doll baby!!  I wish I had gotten some pictures of him.  We are thankful for all of God's blessings this year and are looking forward to a great 2016.

Uncle Dave's Wedding

We ventured up to Maryland for Dave and Terri's wedding.  The boys loved flying!  Will's favorite part of the weekend was dancing at the wedding.  He tore up the dance floor for almost 2 hours straight.  We enjoyed spending time with all of the family.  Terri was a beautiful bride.

Halloween

Halloween was filled with candy, friends, family, and more candy!!  The boys enjoyed the church carnival as well as trick or treating around our neighborhood.  This year Will picked out both his and Jackson's costumes while Jackson was at school.  Jackson and he both loved being Power Rangers.

4th of July

This year to celebrate the fourth, we had a Sunday School cook out and swim party at the Erons' house.  I forgot to bring my camera, but the kids had a blast playing the pool.  That evening, we had a hot dog supper with my parents, and then Brian and I took the boys to see the downtown Easley fireworks.  They were exhausted by the end of the night and Will fell asleep in the car on the way home.  The only pictures that I got were of the boys dressed in red, white, and blue for church that weekend.

Birthday at the Beach

We celebrated Will's fourth birthday at the beach this year.  We had a great time staying at North Myrtle.  Other than a few rain storms, the weather was wonderful.  The beach was gorgeous!

Will wanted us to surprise him, so I brought him in from the balcony and the other "surprised him."

He also wanted to be surprised by his gifts.

One of his favorite gifts is his Jake pirate ship.
